In the PIONEER PRESS, Tim Leighton writes that "mounting frustration from a season of unmet expectations apparently was one challenge Minnesota Lynx coach Suzie McConnell Serio couldn’t conquer." On Sunday Suzie McConnell Serio, "respected around the WNBA for her bulldog attitude and willingness to tackle any challenge, resigned." Carolyn Jenkins, a "McConnell Serio assistant coach for the past four seasons, was appointed interim coach for the final 11 games of the regular season."
